An Itinerary of Fun, Education and Networking: Axis’s ALTA Convention Wrap-Up

Last week, the American Land Title Association (ALTA) celebrated its 107th annual convention in Seattle, WA. This premium event is regaled as the largest gathering of title professionals in the industry, and this year’s spectacular surely did not disappoint. Through participation in educational seminars and demonstrations, title insurance companies, abstractors, title agents and ancillary service providers were able to network with one another while discovering what is new and exciting in the title insurance industry.

Axis Technical Group was one of the many companies in attendance who took full advantage of the convention’s offerings. We sent in the ‘A’ team including, SVP of R&D, Mark Werner, President, Michael Valdes who was joined by SVP of Sales, Vince Tornillo and Regional Sales Manager, Andrew Dagley to meet with industry professionals and share our array of solutions and services for the Title Industry.

During the busy event, we had numerous opportunities to meet and engage with industry professionals and discuss how Axis’ business IT solutions can help title agencies and underwriters take their companies to the next level of business success. Solutions discussed at the conference included the benefits of moving from out dated, expensive and risky legacy systems to modernized server based platforms, like Microsoft, NET & SQL technologies.

Axis’s thought-provoking breakout session showcased their flagship software solution for data extraction from title documents, Axis AI and Web Services. With Axis AI, organizations have a superior alternative to manual re-keying or the costly and ineffective results of other unstructured data extraction solutions. Guests to the session were taught the benefits of data extraction automation, including the ability to extract massive amounts of data faster, cheaper and more accurately than traditional manual keying of critical information.

There was also a little fun to be had during the conference as Axis offered a rather intriguing contest in their expo booth. How much money can you cram in a gallon bowl? Visitors took a stab at their best guess of the amount of cash stuffed in a jar. The winner was the person with the closest estimate to the actual contents. One very keen couple hit the amount right on the money and walked away delighted and a little bit richer. You can see our lucky winners here with their reward. They certainly didn’t leave empty handed.

ALTA was a great event for meeting current clients, networking with industry experts, prospecting, collaborating with partners, and of course learning about new industry challenges. A big thank you to the ALTA team for an excellent experience had by all. Hope to see you again next year!
